What is recorded here

Castlehill is a field boundary in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is not the better-known Castlehill in Inverness, where Cuthbert lands, Neolithic pits and a care home have turned one name into a crowded story. That this separate boundary still carries the same words is a small mistake of memory, proving that place names detach from their facts and reattach elsewhere.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Field Boundary (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
