What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken stone ring in County Cavan, large enough for a small village yet stripped of its upper wall. People nearby took the stones for field boundaries, leaving only a low circular scar and no visible entrance. It is not a mysterious fairy fort, but a human home reduced to powder and boundary lines.

Not marked on OS 1836 or 1876 ed. Raised circular area (int. diam. 31.7m) enclosed by the base of a stone rampart. The upper courses of the wall have been removed and the stone apparently utilised as building material for field boundaries in the vicinity. Original entrance not recognisable.
