Hut site in Drumguillew Upper — Report the wrong picture

Drumguillew Upper holds a circular hut site on the west summit of a three-peaked ridge, buried inside a larger rath. The earthen bank still marks a space seven or eight metres wide, yet no entrance remains visible. Whatever life moved through that hidden opening, the hill kept the shape while taking back the door.

Located on the most westerly summit of three on a NW-SE drumlin ridge. A circular hut-site (diam. 7-8m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; H 0.3m) is at the centre of rath (MO024-011----) but an entrance to it is not identified. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 9 May 2018
