Grave Yard in County Cavan is a circular ecclesiastical enclosure where a drystone wall stands above an older rampart, hiding its original entrance and guarding a blocked holy well. Local tradition claims it marks a famine graveyard, suggesting desperate people found even this restricted space too small for their loss. The wall does not decorate the land; it contains the memory of hunger and death that ordinary fields refused to acknowledge.

Circular area (int. diam. 54m) enclosed by a well-built drystone wall which appears to have been erected on an earlier rampart. Original entrance not recognisable. A blocked-up holy well occurs inside the wall at NE (CV024-037003-). Believed locally to be a famine graveyard.
