What is recorded here

Drumaroad holds a rath, an earthen ring built by human hands during the early Christian period. It stands in County Down as a marker of local life, perhaps surrounding a home, a field or a small community now lost beneath grass and memory. The earth still shapes the boundary even when every wooden gate and stone chimney has vanished.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
