Detached two-bay two-storey gate lodge, built c.1830. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings having timber casement windows. Square-profile rubble stone gate piers, flanking pair of wrought-iron double-leaf gates and single leaf pedestrian gate, set in rubble stone boundary walls.

Set at the entrance to Drishane House, this gate lodge and entrance ensemble makes a handsome roadside addition. Though some historic fabric has been replaced, its original form and character remains. It forms part of a group of related structures with the main house and picturesque gate lodge to the east.
