What is recorded here

Located at the N and W edge of a shelf on the N side of a little hill or plateau. This is one of a group of five house sites (LE010-076/077/078/079) in close proximity to each other that are probably part of an 18th century clustered upland settlement in the form of a clochan with associated outbuildings. This is grass-covered rectangular area (ext. dims 7.4m NW-SE; 4.1m NE-SW; int. dims 4.8m NW-SE; 2.1m NE-SW) defined by the base of a grass-covered stone wall, but much of the NE wall is missing. . This house platform is only 5m ESE of a dry stone field wall running NNE-SSW which appears to be 19th century in date. See the attached image Date of upload: 14 April, 2016
