In County Longford, a hidden platform lies beneath the peat, its brushwood band stretching 2.8 metres with roundwoods still embedded in the dark earth. One piece bears a chisel-point, proof that human hands shaped the structure before the bog swallowed it. The angle points west-southwest to east-northeast, as if aligned to some forgotten purpose. Time has buried the builders, but the shape endures, waiting for someone to walk the field and imagine the lives that stood upon it.

A band of brushwood (exposed Wth 2.8m; T 0.35m) with two to three roundwoods was exposed on the milled field surface. One of the pieces of brushwood had a chisel-point worked end. The elements were orientated WSW-ENE. The evidence suggested that this was likely to be the remains of a platform.
