Platform

Platform, peatland

What is recorded here

A band (exposed Wth 2m; T 0.3m) of brushwood and roundwood (diam. 0.06-0.09m) with pegs (diam. 0.025m), aligned NE-SW, was exposed in a drain face. It was also visible in the opposite drain face and there were some degraded elements on the field surface. The evidence suggested that this was likely to be the remains of a platform. Compiled by: Mary Tunney based on data supplied by Jane Whitaker, Archaeological Development Services. Date of upload: 26 August 2011
