What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Derreenannagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a south-facing drumlin slope as a circular grass and scrub area roughly twenty-three metres wide. The site remains unplanted inside a coniferous forest and is defined by a scarp rising between twenty centimetres and one metre. A bank and fosse were recorded there in 1972, although no entrance is visible now.

At the crest of the S-facing slope of a small drumlin. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. c. 23m) which remains unplanted in a coniferous forest is defined by a scarp (H 0.2-1m).
