What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Crunaun, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a northwest-southeast ridge as a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-two metres across. A gapped earthen bank defines the perimeter, though a field bank now cuts through the centre and incorporates part of the original structure. Two other raths stand nearby, one eighty metres west-northwest and the other one hundred forty metres southeast.

On the crest of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32m NW-SE; 31.7mm NE-SW) defined by a gapped earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 3.4-3.9m; int. H 0.1-0.5m; ext. H 1.3-1.7m) which is incorporated into a field bank NW-NE and reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m) ENE-SSW. There is no visible fosse or recognisable entrance, and the site is bisected by a NE-SW field bank just SE of the centre.
