What is recorded here

Counterfort walls and scarped earth still mark the Crott site, though no human hand has shaped them in centuries. The platform edge remains sharp enough to cut a palm, and the grass grows thicker where the soil holds moisture. A person could stand inside the broken circle at dusk and imagine the noise of a living town, but the earth keeps that idea private.
