What is recorded here

Cromkill in County Antrim holds a rath, an ancient earthwork whose boundary still marks the landscape. The name survives even though the shape may have blurred under grass and time. A rath is a made place, built by hands and repeated in memory, suggesting that Cromkill was never empty but lived with purpose.
