What is recorded here
No visible castle remains in Slaght, though a late medieval fortress once broke the horizon there. The site is lost to time and terrain, leaving behind only a coordinate and a name stripped of its walls. Whatever towers stood in that Antrim landscape have surrendered completely to grass, rain and forgetting.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CASTLE (O.S. memoir site; unlocated). Recorded period: LATE-MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
