What is recorded here

Creggane Castle and its forgotten village occupy green pasture in County Limerick, preserved only beneath grass and time. Dr. Steve Davis revealed the hidden settlement in 2014 when LiDAR cut through decades of growth, exposing what human eyes had lost. The place escapes ordinary maps and memory, yet it still belongs to the region because measurement brought it back.
In pasture, Creggane Castle (LI047-029----) lies 160m to the S. Not marked on historic OSi maps. Possible deserted medieval village associated with Creggane Castle identified from examination of LiDAR image by Dr. Steve Davis, University College Dublin in 2014. No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage or on Google Earth orthoimages.
