RATH in Craigs

RATH

What is recorded here

In County Antrim, a rath still stands inside the craigs, its ancient boundary marked only by a point on an official map. The stone circle may have held a household, a temple or a forgotten king's garden, but human hands built it and human memory lost it. What remains is a shape in the earth, waiting for someone to remember why it was made.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
