Fairy fort in Cortial, County Louth: a worn earthen ring on a ridge, with a narrow southern gap and no visible entrance steps. People may have lived there, tended animals or marked territory before the bank softened into grass. The fairies keep the rest, waiting for human eyes to leave the field alone.
