What is recorded here
Terraced two-bay four-storey former house, built c. 1800, now in use as bank. Ground floor altered and shopfront inserted c. 1995. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack, rendered parapet and dormer additions. Rendered walls with segmental-arched openings and timber sash windows.
The scale and form of this building make a notable and positive contribution to the streetscape. Though now altered to the ground floor, the upper levels of the building retain interesting features and materials, such as the timber sash windows and segmental-arched openings. The building forms part of an imposing terrace of four-storey buildings, with the adjoining former houses to the east.
