What is recorded here

Detached square-plan three-bay three-storey house, built c.1800. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings.
A classically inspired house, which is notable for its square-plan, tall and narrow form, and well considered proportions. It was built in the nineteenth century in an area which was growing in popularity as a fashionable suburb. In common with the historic houses in the area, it is set on an elevated south facing site, and is orientated to maximise river views and light.
