What is recorded here

Indicated is a well-preserved circular rath in County Galway, Ireland, where a narrow passage descends into the earth beneath a rise of scrub and grassland. The fort still carries an inner bank, a intervening fosse, and traces of an outer bank from N to ENE, although a field wall now crosses part of its western edge. Its clear shape and hidden depth suggest a place made for notice, memory, or warning rather than ordinary residence.

A shed has been built upon it at E, and a field wall overlies the enclosing elements at W. Within the interior is a Man-made underground passage (GA056-063001-) of a well (Topgr. Files, NMI).
