In flat poorly drained pasture 400m E of the River Shannon on former floodplain. The site is located 160m NW of a roughly contemporary series of Bronze Age sites (LI005-095001-/002-, LI005-096001-/002-; LI005-097----) all discovered during construction of the Limerick Southern Ring Road, Phase II . The site consisted of an oval-shaped mound (dims. 3.2m E-W, 2.4m N-S and 0.3m D) of burnt sandstone and charcoal (Taylor 2010). The burnt stone deposits were beneath 0.2m of topsoil and above naturally deposited clay. No trough was identified. Charcoal from the mound was dated to the Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age (UBA 13262; 2Sigma 2567-2348 cal BC). The site has been fully excavated.
