What is recorded here
One platform rose above the Fermanagh fields, lifting a life or a warning above the ordinary ground. Men built that height because depth and distance answered better when the body stood taller. The grass has swallowed the edge, but the ratio remains: a little more structure gives a little more vision.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
