Attached five-bay two-storey house and retail outlet, built c.1910, now in use as funeral home. Hipped slate roof with cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods, section of corrugated-iron to rear (south) elevation of roof. Channelled rendered wall to ground floor of front (north) elevation having recessed rendered platband and recent bakelite frieze, lined-and-ruled rendered walls to side (west) elevation and first floor of front elevation, rough-cast rendered wall to rear elevation. Square-headed window openings with render sills throughout, having bipartite timber-framed windows to first floor of front and side (west) elevations with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Fixed single and two-pane timber-framed display windows to ground floor of front elevation, having recessed rendered stall risers. Square-headed door openings to front elevation, having timber battened door to eastern bay and double-leaf glazed timber doors with limestone step to main entrance. Lined-and-ruled rendered enclosing wall with camber-headed carriage arch to side (west) of front elevation having replacement double-leaf timber doors. Rubble stone enclosing walls to side (west) and rear having rendered coping and iron fencing.
This early twentieth century building's expansive facade is a notable feature in the streetscape. It retains much of its historic character through the retention of features such as sash windows, a channelled render façade, expansive display windows and an interesting bakelite fascia.
