What is recorded here

No visible church or hall exists. The hidden chamber is the unusual feature. The chamber may have stored goods, hidden people or served a household ritual. The missing building and the broken ring suggest an ordinary place that stopped being complete before it was forgotten.

On the summit of a hillock in undulating pasture and woodland. Subcircular ringfort (E-W 37.5m), in fair condition, defined by a bank of earth and stone; it may have been stone-revetted. A quarry encroaches upon SE portion of the monument. Entrance at NE. There is a Man-made underground passage in the interior (GA027-030001-).
