What is recorded here

No visible tower remains on the low drumlin in Clowney, yet the 1836 map still claims a ruined circle above the grass. That vanished line may have marked a watchtower, a boundary stone or a forgotten home. The land keeps its shape even when the building leaves, inviting people to imagine what watched the valley before it disappeared.

Depicted as a circular structure with the designation 'Tower in Ruins' on OS 1836 ed. Not marked on subsequent eds. Situated on the summit of a low drumlin hill. No visible remains at ground level.
