What is recorded here

In upland pasture beside a forestry plantation in County Limerick, an eighteen-metre circular scarp still marks the edge of an older earthwork. It sits near a standing stone and enclosure, suggesting a place where people gathered, marked territory or performed rituals before pasture and trees transformed the land. The shape has survived leveling and forgetting, preserving a moment when human hands shaped the hill for purposes no longer spoken aloud.

In upland pasture immediately W of a forestry plantation and 110m W of the townland boundary with Ballinlyna Lower. Enclosure (LI056-015002-) lies 200m to NE and standing stone (LI056-015001-) 190m to NE. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped area (diam. c. 18m) defined by a scarp.
