What is recorded here

On the summit of a ridge and adjoining the N end of a rath (SL027-055001-). An irregular area (c. 18m N-S; c. 45m E-W) defined by a fosse (Wth c. 3m) SW-SE and by the N perimeter of an adjacent rath (SL027-055001-) elsewhere. The fosse is marked by a dense growth of rushes. The surface of the interior is uneven and there is a slightly raised area in the E half. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
