Yes. An underground cave is hidden in the middle of the ringfort, with part of its roof lost and large slabs scattered across the grass. The surviving passage still has stone walls and a stone ceiling, leading downward into darkness. People may have used it to store things, hide during storms or keep a quiet place inside the busy fort.

In ringfort (MA063-029001-). A Man-made underground passage, indicated as ‘Cave’ is shown in the centre of the ringfort on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. A grassed-over rectangular depression (L 3m; Wth 0.8-1m; D 0.3m at NE, 0.8m at SW) is evident at ground surface, extending for 3m on a NE−SW axis. This represents a length of roofless, collapsed Man-made underground passage passage. At its deeper SW end two large slabs, displaced lintels, tip into the depression, and an in situ lintel covers an opening into an intact length of passage (Wth 1m) with drystone walls and lintel roofing, which extends to SW for several meters.
