This is a large sandstone cross-slab (dims. 49cm x 40cm), and it is on display.

Probably dating to the early medieval period (5th–10th century), this cross-slab may have served a Christian commemorative or liturgical function, reflecting the spread of Christianity in the region. Its presence in a graveyard suggests it may mark a burial or once formed part of a monastic or ecclesiastical site.
