Crannog in Clonmacnoise stands as a recorded island home within the ancient monastery landscape of County Offaly. An iron tongs recovered from the marshy ground suggests ordinary domestic life rather than ceremonial display. The Annals of the Four Masters also name the place, tying this small wetland dwelling to the wider history of Clonmacnoise.

The presence of a crannóg at Clonmacoise is referred to in the Annals of the Four Masters. According to the files of the N.M.I. an iron tongs was found on a 'crannóg in marshy land' at Clonmacnoise.
