What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. The 1842 survey marked a forty-metre circular platform on the west-facing slope, but human activity has since levelled the earth until only a slight rise remains. It sits beside a graveyard and church, watching the wide valley where people may have buried their dead or simply pastured sheep. The fort has lost its shape but keeps its name, pointing at itself in the grass like a finger that forgot what it was accusing.

In pasture, on W-facing slope, with extensive view SW->NE; graveyard (CO136-002002-) and church (CO136-002003-) nearby to SE. Hachured as circular platform (diam. c. 40m) on OS 6-inch map (1842).
