The children's burial ground in Cloghfune occupies a narrow, eroding promontory above Ballydonegan Bay, where plain stone markers still emerge through overgrown soil. It is a small, exposed place, yet the separate burial of children suggests a community that marked even the briefest lives with care. The sea has taken much of the land around it, making the surviving stones feel like a thin ribbon of memory held between sky and water.
On an overgrown eroding promontory, with high cliffs on three sides, which juts NE into Ballydonegan Bay. The promontory (c. 25m NE-SW; c. 10m NW-SE) is the site of a 'cillíneach' or children's burial ground and some plain uninscribed stone grave-markers were noted.
