What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Clogher Upper, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears only on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map as a thirty-five-metre circular enclosure towards the bottom of a north-facing slope in an east-west valley. The ground-level pasture no longer shows the feature, while a possible rath sits one hundred and seventy metres to the west-northwest.
Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the bottom of a N-facing slope in an E-W valley. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. The possible rath (RO032-056----) is c. 170m to the WNW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 25 January 2012
