Gallan is a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It is a subrectangular block of stone, about 1.12 metres tall and 1.24 metres long, set on a north-facing slope in rough grazing. Its long axis points east to west. The stone is not shown on the 1842 or 1904 Ordnance Survey maps. It may have been hidden by grass, overlooked by surveyors, or kept out of sight on purpose. A tall plain stone on an open slope could have marked a boundary, a path, a burial, or a promise between people.
