What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland, where a twenty-six metre earthen ring slipped beneath tillage and memory. The southern bank still breaks the slope, proud enough to join a field fence, while the rest lies hidden beneath ordinary soil. That much is known; the life inside the circle remains a question the land refuses to answer.

In tillage, on N-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Arc formed by earthen bank (H 1.4m) survivesto S incorporated into field fence system; levelled bank to W, N and E survives as low rise (diam. 26m N-S).
