Death and memory belonged together before written history. The cist in Tullyskeherny still holds that old idea: a small chamber, a buried life, and a field left open above it.

Situated on a rise on the broad plateau of Tullyskeherny. A low, grass-covered cairn (LE011-036001-) has a possible cist (dims 4.5m E-W; 2.3m N-S), defined by small upright stones at the centre. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 18 April, 2016

A Neolithic cist tomb, likely dating to the 4th–3rd millennium BCE. Its presence indicates early funerary practices in the region, though its wider significance remains unexplored due to limited contextual data.
