Killurly is a hidden child burial ground in County Kerry where a standing stone once faced a possible dwelling. The stone has vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a nearby ogham stone that tradition claims it brought into the world. What is left is a hollow ring of grass and memory, a place where the living stopped speaking and the dead children waited to be remembered.

In a children's burial ground (KE097-003----). In a letter to H. G. Leask, dated 20 June 1939, Capt. D. B. O'Connell mentions a 'gallaun' facing a possible hut site (KE097-003002-) within the area of a 'Calluragh' in Killurly. There are no visible remains of this standing stone. Probably dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had a ritual or commemorative function, possibly linked to the nearby children's burial and hut site. Local tradition or folklore associated with the "Calluragh" may reflect later interpretations of an ancient sacred landscape.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
