What is recorded here
This is one of four possible house sites (see also GA110-039021-, GA110-039022- and GA110-039023-) that were uncovered during the course of excavations in the SW part of Cutting 1, in the inner enclosure of Dún Aonghasa (GA110-039----). All that survived of this example, identified as Structure 10, was a short arc of walling (C 1.6m) in the NNW sector that was made up of three contiguous blocks of stone. The blocks were stratified over the fill within Structure 1 (GA110-039021-). There was no associated stratigraphy. If the remains were those of a house, the projected ground plan would have enclosed the hearth (GA110-039025-) in the E sector (Cotter 2012, vol. 1, 350, 353, 355, 357, 360).
