What is recorded here
Sraheen (tirawley By.) in County Mayo, Ireland holds a children's burial ground, though no further detail has survived to explain when or why the marks appeared. That absence does not diminish the place; it refuses to turn the dead into a specimen. Any child buried there entered the world small, unnamed in this account, and dependent on the care of others. The ground still keeps that dependency, waiting for a witness honest enough to remember without inventing.
