Oileán An Phocáin in County Kerry holds a children's burial ground where a long earthen mound and a circular stone chamber still mark the edge of the sea. The chamber wall stands over a metre high, its entrance facing southeast as if waiting for someone small enough to enter without bending. Children may have played on the mound before they understood death, while adults carried grief into the chamber and closed the door behind them.

Calluragh Burial Ground: This site consists of a mound of earth and stone, at the W end of which are the remains of a substantial clochaun (KE044-087002-). The relationship between the clochaun and the mound/calluragh is not clear. The mound measures 21m E-W x 12m N-S x a maximum of 1.5m in height. Some quartz stones are visible on the surface. The circular clochaun is 6m in diameter and the wall is up to 1.3m high internally. The entrance faces SE and is 1.1m wide. There is a distinct difference between the masonry in the N and S halves of the structure and the N part may have been rebuilt. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
