Cavanquarter holds a circular hut site measuring 4.1 by 4.3 metres inside a rath, small enough for one person to touch both walls while standing upright. The compact shape suggests a private chamber rather than a family hall, perhaps used for birth, death or secret work where width mattered more than grandeur. Its preservation depends on invisibility: trod soil, forgotten boundary and the absence of men with machines.
