Promontory fort stands on a coastal edge in County Cork, Ireland. Whether it guarded a harbour, marked a boundary or simply watched the sea, its stones still point outward. The absence of a clear record does not diminish the place; it invites imagination. A fort is a promise of resistance, and resistance needs a shape.
