What is recorded here

Fragments of a limestone slab (dims. L 0.74m; Wth 0.32m; T 0.10m), bearing traces of the stem of a cross on steps in relief. (Bradley et al. 1986, vol. 2, 105) Date of upload: 8 September 2016
Likely dating to the early medieval period (5th–11th century), the cross-inscribed stone reflects a Christian tradition, possibly used as a waymarker, ritual object, or memorial. Such stones often carried symbolic or devotional significance in prehistoric and early historic Irish landscapes.
