What is recorded here
Eleven granite mouldings emerged from the Castledermot graveyard wall during its May 1986 rebuilding, then men carried them to the south side of the chancel. They may belong to a lost church, a forgotten hall or a house that stopped existing before memory began. Holding one is like catching a sentence spoken by somebody who never finished talking.
At least eleven granite mouldings, found during the May 1986 rebuilding of the graveyard wall, were placed at the south side of the chancel (KD040-002003-). (Bradley et al. 1986, vol. 2, 99)
