Castle, unclassified in Whiteswall is a hidden circular mound in County Kilkenny, marked only by grass and a buried stone wall. It stood as Whiteswall House near the Parks, then disappeared beneath a newer residence around 1750. The land still holds the shape of what people built, forgot and covered.

On a flat-topped elevation in rollling grassland. Good views all round though the land rises towards the E. Known locally as the site of Whiteswall House. According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 280), the 'ancient house or castle of Whiteswall stood opposite Mrs. Kavanagh's house in the field called "the Parks". The site is a gentle elevation, circular in shape, and was enclosed by a thick balla, or stone wall, the foundations of which remain under the surface. The old residence was thrown down about 1750 or earlier, and a new one erected a few perches to the east of it'. The castle is not visible at ground level.
