Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowntawa, County Sligo, Ireland. The raised circular area sits in pasture on a gentle west-facing slope. A flat-topped earthen bank and a field-boundary hedgerow enclose the site, although numerous gaps break the bank.
In pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope. A raised circular area (27.5m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) S-N and by a hedgerow, which is part of a field boundary, N-S. There are numerous gaps in the bank.
