Megalithic structures is a passage tomb in Carrowmore (carbury By.), County Sligo, Ireland. The complex holds one of Europe’s densest concentrations of megalithic tombs and includes small boulder-kerbed circles surrounding central dolmens. It sits beneath Knocknarea, whose summit cairn is traditionally associated with Queen Medb of Connacht. Seán Ó Nualláin’s 1989 survey remains a foundational reference for understanding how these monuments relate across the landscape.

Neolithic passage tomb complex; dates to the 4th millennium BCE. One of the earliest and most significant megalithic sites in Ireland, Carrowmore is considered a ceremonial and burial centre of major importance in the development of Neolithic funerary architecture.
