Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowduff AND Garbally, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a low oval grass platform with a faint surrounding drain in an undulating landscape. The 1837 Ordnance Survey map marked the circular enclosure, while later surveys stopped showing it.
Marked faintly as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35-40m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a low-lying position in an undulating landscape. This is an oval grass-covered platform (dims 44.5m WNW-ESE; 29m NNE-SSW; H 0.3-0.4m) defined by slight traces of a complete fosse or drain (Wth 2.6-2.8m).
