Indicated is a broken stone ring on a Mayo rise, watching a hidden hollow of wet ground through pasture and distance. Its narrow bank still marks a small world set apart from the field, while a rectangular pit and inner wall suggest people lived, stored or made something within the circle. The fairies may have taken the roof and name, but the shape remains clear enough to imagine hands moving earth there long before records appeared.

In pasture, located on a rise with good views generally, and overlooking a natural hollow of wet ground which lies c. 100m to W. Raised circular area (22.2m N–S; 24.2m E–W) defined by a bank (Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.5m) of earth and stones, reduced almost to a scarp for much of its circuit. There is a break (W 1.4m) in the bank at SE. The interior has an uneven surface. A low bank/wall (Wth 1.2m; H 0.2m), on a N–S axis, extends through the W half of the interior; at its S end, close to the rath bank, there is a rectangular pit (5m E–W; 4m N–S; D 0.8m) with stones visible on its sides and base. In the E half of the interior, there is a slight, poorly defined rise or scarp (H 0.3m), set a few meters in from the bank, which curves from NE to S. Outside the bank, a low sloping terrace (W 3-3.8m; H c. 0.3m) skirts the rath at E-SSW, with less clearly defined traces also evident at N. It may be the remnants of an outer enclosing element. There is a field fence, on a roughly N–S axis, immediately to W of the rath, and a depression, representing an old area of quarrying or disturbance, is located immediately to NW.
