Freestanding water tower, erected c.1885 at Drumshanbo Railway Station. Now disused. Random coursed limestone walls with round-arched openings and surmounted by cast-iron water tank. Timber battened door with overlight and window with cast-iron frame.
This water tower is one of the few remaining structures in Drumshanbo associated with the railway. It was built as part of a well-designed complex of structures and is of architectural and technical merit.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
